Shades
This Broadway style urban musical love story tells the story of two people from the wrong side of the tracks who, despite living around hate, violence and death, find love. You’ll laugh at some of the antics, rock with some of the exciting choreography and hum with the soul stirring music.
But Strickly From The Westside will definitely tug on your heartstrings.
The show is written by Lanny Mitchell with music by Robert Brown.
Destiny has experienced every kind of love through various men; Lester- the smooth talking playboy satisfies her sexual needs, Phil - the wealthy, gift-giving and confident “white” man attends to her every monetary need, Charles - the father figure who is easy to talk to fills her need for family, and energetic, buck wild Gerald makes her feel young again But through it all there is still something missing.
The play is based on the book of the same title by Laval Belle
Glitz, glamour and high fashion are the backdrop to this musical stage play. Shades is a story about hidden truths, shattered images and mastering the art of illusion. It centers around supermodel Sheree. She has it all: the look, the style . . . And her time has come! But the world she has known is about to change. In Shades the stakes are high!!
Shades is written by Dennis Rowe with music by Byron Smith.
